Dependable Transportation, a minority owned company specializing in providing scheduled transportation for individuals, will begin service in the Fort Wayne area starting October 1. While their service is open to anyone, their focus will be on those who do not own their own vehicle, and for those where the use of mass transportation is impractical.

While there are similarities to other ride-share businesses, Dependable Transportation has several areas that set them apart. The two biggest are that they are locally owned, and their drivers are employees of Dependable Transportation. Customers will be working with a local company and its employees rather than a mega-corporation with independent contractors. Their employees will be thoroughly screened and vetted before they are out on the road, providing customers with a safer and more reliable experience.

 

In addition to local trips to the grocery, around town, school, or work, they will be able to schedule a ride to and from regional destinations including airports in Chicago, Indianapolis, Detroit or South Bend.
